Police have found an abandoned stolen BMW in Tameside. Officers spotted the car this afternoon (Saturday) in the Hyde area. It was stolen in a burglary, police said.
The car was found on false plates. It will now be recovered and will be forensically examined.

A picture of the car was posted on Twitter by the GMP Traffic account. Alongside the photo, an officer wrote: "ME11 are currently in Hyde with this stolen BMW. Seen on false plates after being taken in a burglary.
"It was abandoned in Hyde and will be recovered for CSI."
