Police find 'large quantity' of cannabis waiting to be packaged up and sold after raiding converted loft in Bolton

Police seized a 'large quantity' of cannabis waiting to be packaged up and sold on after raiding a property in Bolton. Officers made the discovery after executing a warrant on Tonge Moor Road on Sunday.

A large cannabis farm was also found in a converted loft in the building. The electricity meter had been bypassed to provide power for the farm.

A post on the GMP Bolton North Facebook page said: "Today officers #BoltonNorth neighbourhood team have executed a drugs warrant at Tonge Moor Road in Bolton. Once inside the address they have found a large quantity of cannabis drying ready to be packaged and sold on as well as a large cannabis farm in a converted loft.

"The electricity meter had also been bypassed. We couldn't do this work without information you the public provide - thank you."
