Police find body in search for missing 29-year-old Warrington woman

Police looking for a missing woman in Warrington have found a body.

Thea Newton, 29, was last seen at her home address at around 1.30am this morning (June 16) . Her car was found parked near Sunflower Drive.

Search and rescue teams had been conducting searches in the Trans Pennine Trail and the surrounding areas in Warrington today. Police have now confirmed a body believed to be Thea has been found. Her next of kin have been informed.

Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and a file will now be prepared for the coroner.

At the time of her last appearance, she had been described as 5ft 10in tall with long blonde hair and of a slim build. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a multi-coloured pattern on it.

A statement from Cheshire Police said: “Search teams looking for missing woman Thea Newton, 29, in Warrington have sadly found a body. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a multi-coloured pattern on it.

“It is believed to be Thea and her next of kin have been informed. There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
