A man is in hospital after being mowed down by a car in an Edinburgh car park.
Droves of cop motors scrambled to Westside Plaza in Wester Hailes Road on Thursday morning.
An image from the scene shows at least six police vehicles including two vans outside the centre's Odeon cinema.
One ambulance is also seen in the photograph.
Officers and vehicles are seen surrounding a small, black car.
One police officer can be seen stood near the black car.
The car park is filled with mercy crews blocking off routes to other motorists.
Locals reported sirens going off at around 10am.
Just before 11.30am Police Scotland confirmed that they were called to the scene at 9.30am following reports of a man being hit by a car.
The 45-year-old was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The nature of his injuries and current medical condition were not disclosed.
Police did not provide further information on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record said: "Officers were called around 9.30am on Thursday, April 14 to a report of a man being hit by a car at Westside Plaza Shopping Centre in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh.
"The 45-year-old's been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
The Scottish Ambulance Service have also been contacted for comment.
