A man was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Bolton.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on Loxham Street at around 7.30pm last night (Tuesday). Police cordoned off a stretch of the road following the smash.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said. The driver of the car remained at the scene.

They assisted officers with enquiries. An investigation into the smash remains ongoing.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 7:30pm on Monday 8 November 2022, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Loxham Street in Bolton.

"Emergency services attended the scene and a man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The driver remained on scene to assist officers with enquiries and an investigation is ongoing."
