Police cordon off road after concerns for safety of woman

A cordon has been put in place in Formby after police were called to reports of concerns for the safety of a woman.

Officers arrived at School Lane at around 6.30am on Thursday, October 6, after calls for concern. Emergency services, including paramedics, arrived and found a woman, in her 40s, outside on the road.

Police believe that the woman suffered a medical episode and she was taken to hospital by ambulance. A cordon is now in place on School Lane, between Church Road and Three Tuns Lane, while police deal with the incident.
