Police cordon off Moston street with forensics at scene after 'disturbance'

Police cordoned off a street in Moston last night after a 'disturbance'.

The incident happened on Edale Avenue just after 5.30pm, police said.

A large cordon was in place on a stretch of the road until around 8pm, with several police vehicle stationed at the scene.

Forensic officers were pictured at the scene, as well as specialist collision investigators.

Police appeared to examine a black Vauxhall vehicle that was within the cordon.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police has now confirmed that officers were called to a report of a 'disturbance'.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, they added.

A statement issued by the force last night said: "At around 5.35pm on Thursday 10/03/22, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Edale Avenue, Manchester.

"Officers attended and investigations are ongoing."
