Police continue to investigate sudden death of man in North Belfast

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances around the sudden death of a man at a property in North Belfast.

The emergency services were called on Friday, February 4, to Glenrosa Street in the Tiger's Bay area following reports that a man had died.

There was a heavy police presence in the area following the incident, with forensic officers being seen going back and forth from the property.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance service were also called to the scene.

Local residents and witnesses said they were shocked to hear about the incident.

Following the incident Councillor Dean McCullough said: "Police are at the scene of a serious incident in Glenrosa Street, Tigers Bay. I would appeal to people, particularly young people, to allow them the time and space they need.

"They are there for this incident alone."

Police remained at the scene of the incident on Saturday while they continued their enquiries, which remain ongoing.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Enquiries into the circumstances are continuing following the sudden death of a man in the Glenrosa Street area of Belfast on Friday, 4th February.

"There are no further details at this time."
