Police continue to hunt thieves who smashed way into Chinese takeaway and stole till

Thieves broke into a Livingston Chinese take-away and made off with the till.

Officers are appealing for information following the break-in to Dragon House Takeaway in the Kirk Lane area of Livingston Village, West Lothian.

At around 2.15am on Saturday, November 12, glass in a door was smashed and a temporary till containing cash was taken.

Detective Constable Greig Porteous, of Livingston CID, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious before and after this incident to get in touch. In particular, if you have private CCTV or door-bell footage please contact us.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone driving in the area who might have captured something on dash-cam that could help with our investigation.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0523 of Saturday, 12 November, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
