Police continue to hunt for thugs who torched two cars outside West Lothian home

Police are hunting for two people dressed in dark clothing after two cars were set on fire outside a house in Bathgate.

Detectives are appealing for information after two cars were torched at the home on Meadowpark Avenue.

The incident happened shortly after 10.05pm on Sunday, November 27.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fires were extinguished. Thankfully no one was injured.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander said: “Fortunately no one was injured in this incident, however both vehicles were extensively damaged.

“Our enquiries have established that two persons, both dressed in dark clothing, attended the area in a small blue van. They were last seen running west along Meadowpark Avenue after the fire started.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who has CCTV footage of the suspects or the blue van to get in touch.

“If you have any information please call 101, quoting incident number 3499 of 27 November, 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
