Police confirm body found in Pembroke Dock is 16-year-old Kianna Patton

Police have confirmed that the body of a 16-year-old girl found in Pembroke Dock has been formally identified as missing teenager Kianna Patton.

The body was discovered at a derelict building around 4.45pm on Thursday, October 24 less than a mile from her home.

The teenager was last seen on Wednesday, October 23 at around 3pm in Pembroke Dock. Dyfed-Powys police then launched a huge search and a body was found the next day.

Speaking to The Sun , Kianna's dad, Pilgrim, who lives in Germany, shared his devastation at the news and said: "Police confirmed to me that my daughter’s body was found today. She was only 16 years old. I have no answers as to why. I will never have answers. I don’t think any of us will."

A spokesperson for the force said: "Dyfed-Powys Police can confirm that formal identification has taken place and the body discovered in Pembroke Dock on October 24 is that of 16-year-old Kianna Patton."

Kianna's next of kin and the HM coroner have been informed.

Tributes have flooded in across social media after the devastating news.

Sharon Crockford said: "Kianna princess you were loved so much such a beautiful little girl turned in to a beautiful young lady."

Another Caroline Lee wrote "So so sad. I know there was every police available police officer in Pembrokeshire looking for this little girl today."
