Following a widespread appeal for information to locate a missing 78-year-old Bristol man, police have said the elderly man has now been found safe. He was first announced missing this morning, Sunday (February 19).
Avon and Somerset Police thanked the public for their help locating the missing man, as well as those that looked after him while inquiries were carried out.
Their earlier appeal sparked a series of calls from members of the public, including one the police wanted to thank in particular.

Avon and Somerset Police said: "We're delighted to tell you that missing James, 78, is safe & well & on his way home in Bristol with officers.
"We'd like to thank a kind member of the public who called us & looked after him tea until officers attended.
"Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal or rang with info."
