Police closed road after woman hit by car outside McDonald's

Police officers cordoned off a road after a woman was knocked over by a car.

At around 8.25am on Thursday, January 27, Merseyside Police were called to reports of a collision outside the McDonald's on Huyton Hey Road in Huyton.

Eye witnesses say several police cars were seen in the area and a section of the road was cordoned off.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that the collision involved a blue Peugeot car and a female pedestrian.

The woman is believed to have suffered minor injuries.

Police confirmed the driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

It is believed the road has since re-opened.
