Tower Bridge in central London has reopened after it was closed by police due to concerns for a person’s welfare.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area, when the bridge was shut in both directions to traffic and pedestrians on Tuesday night.
City of London Police tweeted around 8.20pm: “Tower Bridge is closed in both directions for both pedestrians and traffic whilst our officers deal with an incident; please find alternative routes.”
