Police have caught a learner driver in Bristol driving illegally after they were spotted by the same officer within less than 12 months.
The Roads Policing and Road Safety Teams of Avon and Somerset Police said how a vehicle was spotted driving at slow speeds on the M32 and was seen crossing into the hard shoulder. When stopped, the driver was found to only have a provisional licence and was driving the vehicle unsupervised with no learner plates.
They also revealed the same driver had been caught by the exact same police offer less than a year ago for the same offence. The driver already had six points on their licence.

Sharing an update on Twitter, they said: "Vehicle seen being driven at slow speeds on #M32, passing into the hard shoulder. Driver stopped, only had a provisional licence, not supervised & No L plates. Driver already had 6 points for the same offence after being stopped & reported by the same officer less than a year ago."
The force accompanied their post with a picture of the vehicle in question - posted above - seen pulled over by a police vehicle on the side of the road with the registration plate blurred out.
Learner drivers in England must display an L plate on the front and back of their vehicle so they can be seen easily. They must also be accompanied by an adult over 21-years-old who had held a full driving licence for more than three years for the same type of vehicle the learner is practising in (i.e. manual car).
