A property in the Sion Mills area, south of Strabane, has been searched by police who are investigating the attempted murder of two officers on Thursday 17 November.
Detectives from the Terrorism Investigation Unit of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) conducted the search on Tuesday (November 22) and seized a number of items which were taken away for forensic examination.
Five men have already been arrested over the incident which saw an improvised explosive device detonated at the side of a police car while on patrol in the Mount Carmel Heights area of Strabane, as reported a few days ago. Neither officers were injured, although they were left shaken. The vehicle suffered some damage.
Four men have since been released following questioning, but a 38-year-old remains in custody. A search has also been carried out in the Coalisland area.
