A police car was left on its roof after crashing into a garden on Saturday night. Video footage shows the scene after it crashed through a garden wall and flipped over.
The Cumbria police car was involved in a crash in Workington at around 9.30pm. It's believed the officers were on their way to an emergency at the time.
As reported by LancsLive, it collided with a red Suzuki car before going through the garden wall. The two officers inside came away with minor injuries.
No one else was hurt during the incident. The road was closed for some time while the crash was investigated and the cars recovered.
A video supplied to CumbriaLive by Donkey Junk showed the police patrol car on its roof after flipping over the garden wall. A number of residents gathered to look at the damage.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said last night: "A Cumbria Police patrol car has been involved in a road traffic collision in Mossbay Road in Workington this evening (July 9). The incident occurred at around 9.30pm when the police car, which was travelling to an emergency incident, was in collision with a red Suzuki car before the police car collided with a garden wall, ending up on its roof.
"The two officers travelling in the patrol car suffered minor injuries. Nobody else was injured in the incident."
