A police car and a BMW have crashed outside an Aldi supermarket.
At around 8.15pm a Merseyside Police patrol car was involved in a crash on Moor Lane, at the junction of Edge Lane in Crosby on Tuesday, May 23. Further emergency services were called to the scene and the road was closed while officers made enquiries.
Police say one person suffered "very minor injuries" in the crash, but were not able to confirm which vehicle the person was from. A spokesperson from the force was not able to confirm if the vehicle was responding to an emergency at the time of the incident.

No arrests have been made and Moor Lane is due to reopen this evening. Pictures from the scene show severe damage to the passenger side door of the police car and inflated airbags inside the vehicle.
