A woman who was spotted 'collapsed in her car on the M60' was actually 'having a sleep' - she was then found to be twice the legal drink-drive limit.

Motorway police said this morning that officers initially received 'several concern for safety' reports for the woman. Drivers had spotted her in a car parked on the hard shoulder of the motorway near junction 15 for the M61.

The woman appeared to have 'collapsed', police said. When officers arrived, they found she was 'having a sleep'.
