POLICE were called to a home in Dumfries after a bone was discovered in a garden.
Emergency services were called to a property on Auchencrieff Road in Dumfries at around 10.10am on Thursday following the discovery.
Police said a bone was found within the garden and an examination will be conducted.
It has been reported that the police believe the discovery is archaeological.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 10.10am on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, officers were called to a property in Auchencrieff Road, Dumfries following a report of a bone found within the garden.
“Enquiries are ongoing to examine the recovery.”
