Police were called to an incident yesterday (March 31) where protesters were blockading the door to a lecture, according to reports.
News website The Bristol Activist reports 'university students' were protesting outside a talk led by controversial American author Yaron Brook.
Avon and Somerset Police say they attended and 'no enforcement action was necessary.'

The Bristol Activist tweeted: "Students at the University of Bristol are disrupting a guest lecture by Yaron Brook. They are blockading the door and security are attempting to remove them.
Yaron Brook hosts his own YouTube channel where he discusses his views on Islam, and is the Chairman of the Ayn Rand Institute, a non-profit think tank that "promotes objectivism".
Brook has previously claimed that Islamic ideology is contrary to the values of modern-day western society, including freedom of speech, and has called for the modernisation of the religion.
Police said in a statement: “At around 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday, March 31) we received a report of a protest involving approximately 12 people at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, Queens Road, Clifton.
“Officers attended and engaged with the individuals present. No enforcement action was necessary and the protest resolved without incident by around 7.50pm.”
After the event, Mr Brook tweeted: "Tonight a group of Leftist students tries to Cancel me at Bristol University in the UK. In spite of their threats and the obnoxious noise they created my talk on the Roots of War proceeded as planned. I will not let thugs intimidate me into silence."
A University of Bristol spokesperson said: “Security were in attendance at the Wills Memorial Building last night when a protest took place at an event organised by the University’s Liberty Society at which the writer and activist, Yaron Brook, was speaking.
“When they arrived a group of around 12 protestors were sat in front of a fire exit to the room where the event was taking place. They had linked arms and wouldn’t move.
“Due to the health and safety issues associated with such actions the Police were called to attend and the protestors were escorted out of the building after the event, which went ahead as planned, had finished.
“We respect the right to protest, however we have a duty to ensure this is carried out in a safe manner which doesn't endanger others.”
Yaron Brook has been approached for comment.
