Police bust huge cannabis farm at industrial estate in The Meadows

Police called to an industrial estate in The Meadows have found a vast cannabis farm with about 400 plants inside. Officials from the National Grid, who are working with officers at the scene in Crossgate Drive, described the scale of the cannabis operation.

Marcus Newman, from National Grid, said: “I think there were 400 plants. It is a big grow. Look at the size of the building for a start. It is the biggest cannabis farm we have ever seen.”

Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to the scene at around 8.20am on Tuesday (January 31) as part of an investigation. But officers subsequently found cannabis plants inside.
