Police burn bags of cannabis plants uncovered from huge growing farm worth £750k

Police have burned huge bags of cannabis through an incinerator this afternoon after plants growing the Class B drug were uncovered from a farm in Manchester.

Yesterday, January 24, officers from Greater Manchester police raided a property in Cheetham Hill, north of Manchester.

What they found was a huge cannabis growing farm containing drugs worth an estimated £750k.

Today, 173kg of the plants have been bagged up and taken to an incinerator to be burned and disposed of.

Pictures shared by police show a van overflowing with bags of the drug after they were taken from the property.

Giving an update on last night's raid, the post read: "We have now dismantled the cannabis farm in Cheetham and 173kg of cannabis has been burnt at the incinerator. That's the equivalent of 5 German Shepherds! Our van was filled!"

It was yesterday evening that officers carried out a warrant at an address in Cheetham Hill.

What they found was a huge farm containing drugs worth around three quarters of a million pounds.

Sharing the images online, the tweet yesterday read: "Tonight we have executed a warrant in Cheetham and found a large cannabis farm with an estimated £750k worth of drugs.

The crackdown was made just a week after another large cannabis farm was uncovered on Hawkeshead Road, also in Cheetham Hill.
