Police bid to trace 2 'Good Samaritans' who rescued woman after attack

Police want to speak to two Good Samaritans as a "matter of urgency" after they came to the rescue of a woman after an assault. Derbyshire Police launched an appeal on Saturday (May 20) to trace the man and woman who stopped at the scene and even got the victim home safely.

It comes after the assault happened in Waverley Street, Long Eaton, on Monday, May 15, between 6pm and 7pm. Officers want to speak to the pair as a "matter of urgency".

If you were one of the people who stopped, or you know who they may be, please contact the force immediately.

Police also want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident – as well as any drivers with dashcam footage that may have captured footage useful to the investigation.
