Police ask for public's help to trace missing Lanarkshire man

Police are appealing for help from the public as part of their efforts to trace a man reported missing in Wishaw.

Douglas Johnstone was last seen leaving University Hospital Wishaw around 2am this morning.

The 61-year-old has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

Douglas is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, short greying hair, wearing a red, white and blue gilet, a navy jumper, blue jeans and black and white Adidas trainers.

It is believed Douglas may have travelled to the High Blantyre area, but he also has links to Larkhall.

Anyone who may have seen Douglas since this time, or who has any information which could be relevant, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting 0498 of 20 March 2022.
