Police have charged a woman after two stabbings in short succession in Melbourne's CBD on Thursday afternoon.
Victoria Police allege the 28-year-old woman stabbed a man during an attempted robbery at the intersection of Flinders Street and Downie Street about 5pm.
Shortly afterwards, the woman allegedly stabbed another woman near the intersection of Flinders and Spencer streets, police said.
"Both the male and female victims were transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
Police believe there were at least four other attempted armed robberies in the area that may be linked to the stabbings.
