Two 14-year-old girls have been charged by police after an alleged attempted car theft in Adelaide's north-east, with two other teenagers also arrested early this morning over a separate series of crimes hours later.
In the earlier incident, police allege, the two girls got into the car at a Greenacres petrol station about 12:40am, reversed into a bowser and then ran off.
Police searched the area and found the teenagers, both from Andrews Farm, on North East Road.
"The driver submitted to a breath test and returned a positive reading but refused to submit to a breath analysis back at the station," police said.
She was charged with offences including driving unlicensed, driving without due care and drink driving, while the other teenager was charged with providing false details.
A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were also arrested overnight after a series of thefts and break-ins in Adelaide's north.
Police were called to Normandy Avenue at Para Hills just before 5am after receiving a report that a car had been broken into and electrical equipment stolen.
A vehicle on nearby Lamington Street in Ingle Farm was broken into a short time later, before a car was stolen from a house on Burri Street.
The two teenagers were arrested on that street and are expected to be charged this morning.
Police allege they also stole a pair of sandshoes from a verandah, and suspect two other men were also involved in the incidents.
