Police in Wigan have arrested six people following raids that uncovered money laundering as well as numerous drugs. Greater Manchester Police conducted warrants at four addresses in the Marsh Green area.
The six people have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering and possession of Class A and Class C drugs. A ‘significant amount of cash’ was seized from the properties as well as drugs, a Taser, body armour, and a CS spray canister.
GMP Wigan West said in a social media post: “In the early hours of Thursday June 23, Wigan J Relief Neighbourhood Officers supported by officers from the TAU (Threat Assessment Unit) and DTT conducted Sec 8 PACE warrants at four separate addresses in the Marsh Green area of Wigan.

“Six people were arrested on suspicion of Money Laundering and Possession of Class A and C drugs and have been taken into police custody for questioning.
“Items seized at the addresses include a Taser, body armour, a CS Spray canister, a significant amount of cash and Class A and C drugs.”
