SA Police have charged a man with murder after the death of a woman in Adelaide's south-west early on Tuesday.
Paramedics were called to Condada Avenue at Park Holme just before 5am to try to revive 51-year-old Louise Hughes, of Glengowrie, who had collapsed and was unresponsive.
Police released a photo of Ms Hughes on Tuesday afternoon.
A 33-year-old man living at the house was charged with murder this afternoon after being questioned by police at Christies Beach Police Station.
He is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Detective Superintendent Michael Fisher said "people associated with this address" rang triple-0 when they found the woman unresponsive.
"It's an unusual situation, people just don't normally pass away without any sort of outside influence of some description," he said.
Detective Fisher said Ms Hughes and the accused man were "acquaintances" and not in a relationship.
"It's not clear at this stage how this person has passed on and that's why we are investigating," he said.
Neighbour David Amato said it was worrying to hear about the woman's death.
"It's obviously a bit of a worry when I have a wife and a 15-year-old daughter here," he said.
Another neighbour, Omar Ztati, said it was "concerning, to say the least".
"It's scary, especially so close to home," he said.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
