Northumbria Police launched an appeal to the public to help locate a woman who had been reported missing.
Julie Surtees, 57, was reported missing from her home in Gateshead earlier today. It was believed that she could currently be in the Newcastle area.
Police were concerned for Julie's welfare and were carrying out extensive enquiries to locate her.
Officers appeal for Julie to make contact with them and called on anyone who recognises her to call police immediately.
And now officers have revealed that she has been found safe and well and thanks everyone who helped by sharing the appeal.
