Police appeal to find missing Houghton teen Miles Kennedy last seen almost two weeks ago

A search is under way for a 14-year-old County Durham boy who disappeared almost two weeks ago.

Miles Kennedy was last seen on March 15 at around 8pm at a home in Carnforth, Lancashire. The teenager comes from Houghton-le-Spring and also has links to Consett.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare, with Durham Constabulary now appealing for anyone who knows Miles’ whereabouts to get in touch.

A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “Our colleagues in Lancashire believe there is a possibility that Miles may be in County Durham and, in particular, he has connections with the Consett area. He was reported missing on March 15, which is almost two weeks ago, so we are anxious to hear from anyone who has seen him."

Miles is described as being of slim build, around 5ft 1in tall with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a navy jacket, dark jogging bottoms and black trainers.
