Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Rutherglen.
A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital after a black coloured car was deliberately driven at him on Skye Road round 9.20 pm on Thursday, May 18.
He was then assaulted by a number of persons who exited the vehicle carrying weapons.
Detective Constable Cameron Owen, of Lanarkshire CID, said: “The victim remains in hospital where he is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area to get in touch. I would also appeal to motorists who have dash-cam footage that may have captured something which could prove vital to our ongoing enquiries to make contact with us.
