Police appeal for witnesses after man in his 30s stabbed in early hours 'disturbance'

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Levenshulme. Emergency services were scrambled to Stockport Road, by 'The Levenshulme' pub, at around 2am this morning (Saturday December 3) following a 'disturbance'.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with injuries 'consistent with a bladed article being used'. Another man - in his 40s - was arrested on suspicion of assault, violent disorder, and possession of bladed article and remains in police custody for questioning.

Officers are now asking for anyone who was in Stockport Road at the time of the incident to come forward. They are also asking for CCTV footage, mobile phone footage or any other images that could help with their investigation.
