Police appeal for public's help after £3,000 of tools stolen from town centre building site

Police are appealing for the public's help after £3,000 of tools were stolen from a building site in Stockport town centre. The tools, mainly Dewalt and Milwaukee branded, were taken sometime between 3pm on Friday and 1pm on Sunday.

They include drills, cutting equipment and hand tools. Police say the letters JF, TS and SW been etched and marked on the tools.

A post on the GMP Stockport Facebook page appeals for information about the theft. It says: "If you know of anyone selling tools with these markings or someone who has recently acquired a large amount of tools please get in touch."

Any details can be reported to directly to Stockport’s Neighbourhood Crime Team at jjnctstockport@gmp.police.uk or anonymously via charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting 699 16/01/23.
