Lanarkshire police are appealing for information and witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Airdrie.
The attack took place in the Luing area of the town, near to Varnsdorf Way, at around 4.15pm on Monday, August 1.
The 39-year-old victim was taken to University Hospital Monklands where he was treated for a 'serious facial injury'.

Police are asking the public to check cctv and dashcam footage as they attempt to trace the person responsible.
Detective Constable David Forde, of Coatbridge CID, said: "This incident saw a man sustain a serious facial injury and it is vital we trace the individual responsible.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.

"I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something suspicious to contact us.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone with potential private CCTV, dashcam or video doorbell footage."
