Police are appealing for information after a wilful fire-raising in Carluke.

Officers are asking for information after a vehicle was set alight at around 12.40am on Tuesday, January 3 in Mauldslie Castle Orchard in the town.

Two people, believed to be men, were in the area at the time.

The first is described as thin build, wearing a red balaclava, dark jacket and grey trousers. The other man is also thin build and wearing dark clothing.

A Police Scotland source told Lanarkshire Live: "There are only two access roads to the area, we are urging those who live nearby to check any dash-cam or CCTV they may have.

"If anyone has any information, please contact 101."

Information can be passed by calling 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
