Police appeal for help to trace missing man last seen near Hairmyres Hospital in early hours

Police are appealing for information which could help trace a man who has been reported missing in East Kilbride.

Adam Bergiel was last seen around 1.45am on Monday, 2 May, near Hairmyres Hospital, heading on foot in the direction of Strathtay Avenue.

The 31-year-old is described as white Polish, 6ft 3in tall and of slim build with short brown hair. He was wearing a yellow hooded top, black bottoms and white Adidas trainers.

Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 0365 of 2 May, 2022.

Meanwhile officers have also appealed for the public's help to trace a Govan man reported missing five days ago amid increased concern among his friends and family.

Peter Doherty was last seen about 9am on Wednesday of last week near to the Aldi on Paisley Road West.

UPDATE: Adam Bergiel has been traced safe and well.
