Jack Irvine has been found.
Merseyside Police have released an appeal as they become "increasingly concerned" for a missing 81-year-old from Thingwall. Jack Irvine was last seen at 9am on Sunday morning by his wife, when he said he was going walking.
Police are also investigating in North Wales, as it is believed he was headed to Moel Famau. Officers added that they are worried about Jack's safety in the freezing weather conditions.
Jack is described as "white, about 5ft 6in tall with grey hair and blue eyes". A police description added: "When he was last seen he was wearing a dark coloured walking jacket, which is fleece lined; a pair of mustard coloured walking trousers and brown lace up shoes, but he also took his walking boots with him."
He is a keen walker, and frequents various routes in North Wales such as the aforementioned Moel Famau, Llanarmon and Llanferres, and Farndon, Kelsall, Churton, Beeston and Shotwick in Cheshire.
