Police appeal for help in 'possible sexual assault' case in Reddish

A ‘possible sexual assault’ is said to have taken place near Reddish Library last week. Now, police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the alleged incident take place.

GMP’s Heatons and Reddish team say the incident reportedly occurred between March 31 and April 2 on Gorton Road. They also urged ‘anyone who has any information which may be linked to this incident to get in contact with the police’.

Sharing a post on Facebook, the team said: “Police are appealing for the public's help following reports of a possible sexual assault which allegedly occurred near Reddish Library, Gorton Road. This incident is believed to have occurred sometime between March 31 - April 2, 2022.

“We would urge anyone who has any information which may be linked to this incident to get in contact with the police by the following means: heatonsandreddish@gmp.police.uk , Reddish police station- 0161 8569663, Crime stoppers- 0800 555 111.”
