Police appeal for group of young men after 'nasty' attack in city

Police have have released images of a group of young men they would like to speak to following a "nasty and unprovoked" attack in the city. The victim, a 29-year-old man, was attacked in Goose Gate, Hockley, in the early hours of Thursday, September 1, when he was punched and left with a fracture to his face.

Detectives believe the young men pictured in these CCTV images may be able to assist with their investigation and have asked for them to come forward. Detective Constable Grace Jolly, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack that left the victim with a fracture to his face.

“We have carried out extensive investigations into what happened and are now making a public appeal to identify five young men who were seen in the area at the time of the assault. We believe they may have vital information that my assist with our investigation and I urge them to come forward.”
