Police urgently want to speak to Salad Ahmed Mohamed in connection with this offence
(Picture: Metropolitan Polie)Police have launched an appeal after a woman was raped by a stranger after being picked up in his car.
The woman got into the white Toyota Prius at 2.15am on Thursday, April 7 in Upper Street, Islington. The man drove her to Wormwood Scrubs where he proceeded to rape her in the car.
Police urgently want to speak to Salad Ahmed Mohamed, aged 36, in connection with this offence.
Officers are seeking to establish whether Mohamed had been working as a private hire driver at the time.
Mohamed is described as black, of slim build and 5ft10 inches tall.
Detectives also want to trace the white Toyota Prius he was using.
Mohamed is known to frequent the Islington, Finsbury Park, and South Tottenham areas.
Anyone seeing Mohamed should not approach him, but call 999 immediately.
