Officers are appealing for information after two girls were subjected to disgusting racial abuse in County Durham.
Durham Constabulary was called following a racially aggravated incident in Middleton St George, Darlington, which occurred sometime between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Monday, July 18 on Darlington Road. Following the incident, Darlington Police put out an appeal on their social media pages.
It's believed the two girls were walking along the pavement when a white van pulled beside them and two men began to shout racial abuse at them. Officers are now keen to speak to anyone in the area with CCTV or with dashcam footage of the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Darlington Police said: "Police are appealing for information following a racially aggravated incident in Middleton St George. The incident occurred sometime between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Monday, July 18 on Darlington Road.
"It is believed the victims were walking along the pavement when a white van pulled beside them and two men began to shout racial abuse at the two girls. Officers are now keen to speak to anyone in the area with CCTV or with dashcam footage of the incident.
