Police in Cheshire have launched an appeal for information after a man punched a teenager in a park.
The serious assault occurred in Congleton Park on Friday night (June 9) at around 6.58pm. According to witness reports, a man and a woman were walking through the park when they got into an altercation with a teenager, who was in the park with a group.
The man, who is believed to be known by the group, approached the victim between the park and Willow Street and punched him in the face causing serious injuries.

The suspect is described as being white, with a bald head, and aged about 50. At the time, he was wearing a yellow high-vis t-shirt, and black/dark grey workers trousers. He had a large black dog with him.
DC Dave Wilkinson, of Cheshire Police, said: “The injuries resulted in the victim having to go to hospital. I understand this may cause some concern in the community, so we have stepped up patrols in the area.
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information that would help us identify the suspect to contact us.”
