Police appeal after man requires hospital treatment following Coatbridge assault

Police are appealing for information following the assault of a 32-year-old man by an alleged group of teenagers in Coatbridge.

The incident took place on a pathway near Earlston Crescent at around 7.30pm on Thursday, September 29.

The man was taken to University Hospital Monklands for treatment and later discharged.

The suspects are a group of male youths, aged between 15 and 16 years old, wearing dark clothing.

Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon of Coatbridge CID said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to come forward.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around that time.

“Anyone who may have information which could assist our enquiries are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3070 of Thursday, September 29, 2022.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
