Police appeal after man found dead in Cardiff park

Police are appealing for information after a man was found dead in a park in Cardiff. South Wales Police is investigating the sudden and unexplained death of a 30-year-old man who was found in the nature trail area of Moorland Park in Splott, Cardiff at around 1.15pm on Friday, July 1.

The man's next of kin has been informed and enquiries are ongoing. A statement from South Wales Police on Saturday read: "Officers investigating the sudden and unexplained death of a 30-year-old man in Splott, Cardiff are appealing for information.

"The man was found in the nature trail area of Moorland Park at around 1.15pm on Friday, July 1. Next of kin has been informed and enquiries are on-going.

"We are keen to speak to anyone who was in Moorland Park on Friday morning up until lunchtime and may have seen anything which could assist the investigation. Please contact us online or via 101 quoting reference *219519."
