Detectives have launched an appeal for witnesses - and two taxi drivers in particular - after a man collapsed in the street and later died. Police were called to Church Street, Mansfield, shortly before 3.30am on Friday morning (January 13) when a man in his 30s was found collapsed in the street.
The man sadly died later in hospital. Officers do not believe his death to be suspicious but would to speak with potential witnesses to 'learn about his movements prior to his collapse'.
Police are looking to speak with two taxi drivers, in particular, who are believed to have interacted with him. The man was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a black jacket.

Detective Sergeant Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working to understand the full circumstances of this very sad incident and would like to speak to anybody who saw this man in the moments before this incident.
“Whilst we do not believe his death to be suspicious, we are keen to learn as much as possible about this man’s movements prior to his collapse.” Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 55 of January 13.
