Detectives are appealing for information after a cyclist was left with serious injuries after he was hit by a van in Westminster.

Met Police officers and the London Ambulance Service were called at 6.22pm on Sunday to reports of a collision in Grosvenor Road, Pimlico.

The cyclist, a 58-year-old man, was taken to a central London hospital suffering from serious injuries, which are currently being treated as life-threatening.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
