Police appeal after car set on fire in Coatbridge overnight

Officers are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in the Kirkshaws area of Coatbridge overnight.

The incident happened around 4.45am, when a white Audi A3 parked in Rose Park Cottages was found alight.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fire was put out. No one was injured.


Detective Constable David Williamson said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and seen what happened or seen anything suspicious to get in touch.

“In particular anyone with dash-cam or door-bell footage that could assist with our investigation is asked to call us.”

Anyone who can help should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0825 of Sunday, 20 March, 2022.
