Officers in West Lothian are appealing for information following two theft by housebreakings in Murieston, Livingston.
Around 1.20am on Saturday (May 7), five men broke into November Collective Salon at Bankton Centre and stole a number of items within before driving off on a red quad bike and a black MG HS SUV.
It is also believed that the same SUV was involved in a break-in and theft at the Day to Day store, also at Bankton Centre, around 11.40pm on Wednesday (May 4).
The five suspects are all described as white males, in their 20s, of medium build and were wearing dark clothing with hoods up and faces covered with scarves/masks.
Detective Constable Lynn Myles, of Livingston CID, said: “Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information or who may live in the area and heard or saw anything suspicious to contact police immediately.
“Likewise, if anyone was in the area and has dash-cam footage, I would encourage you to check your footage for anything of relevance.
“I would also ask anyone who witnessed a group of men matching the description or either of the vehicles to get in touch.
“Finally, if anyone comes across the sale of hair products and alcohol in the area, which was stolen during the incidents, then please contact officers.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0823 of 7 May, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
