A busy road has been closed by police and fire crews while they deal with an incident.
Hands Road between its junctions of Brockhall Rise and Aldred's Lane was shut around 6.30am on Thursday, January 27.
Police have requested that drivers avoid the area while officers and fire crews deal with the ongoing incident.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "The road is closed at Hands Road, Heanor between the junctions of Brockhall Rise and Aldred's Lane whilst officers assist the Fire Service in dealing with an incident at that location.
"Drivers are requested to take alternative routes at this time."
